Public Awareness

WaitList Zero is currently planning an expansive public awareness campaign targeted at educating transplant patients and those most at risk for chronic kidney disease, (e.g., African-Americans, Hispanics, and those over the age of 50) about treatment options for their disease while informing the general public (i.e., potential donors) about the kidney crisis and the benefits of living donation.

Our goal is to develop a pilot program to be rolled out in two states over the next two years. Once piloted successfully, living donor transplant awareness campaigns can be rolled out nationwide.

Public awareness efforts will follow a multifaceted approach working in conjunction with partners that will include a public relations, advertising, and media outreach campaign to provide important facts about living donation and transplantation.
