New York State Transplant Survey

New York is undergoing a transplant shortage crisis: we rank 50th nationally in deceased donors per capita. The average wait, rate of donor registration, and percent of the deceased who donate are all worse in New York. The national shortage is bad enough, but New Yorkers are more likely to need a transplant and more likely to die waiting.

To address this crisis, leading members of the New York transplant community are meeting January 27th to identify solutions and develop a campaign to implement them.

To orient the meeting’s discussion, we’d ask that you fill out this survey about your thoughts on how to improve transplant in New York.
